"As the name suggests , it's a fish restaurant...don't ask for vegetarian options after you sat down like my friend did.... The service was very nice, even created a salad dish out of menu for our vegetarian friend. We had a good feeling with the food, simple and clean recipes."

"When we asked the staff if we could have a meal at about 4pm, they told us that they had no fries. That did not matter as we were looking for salads. We ordered Nicoise and a Poke, both very good and made with proper fresh fish - not fish from a tin. All good and fresh ingredients, with a subtle and nice condiment. The dessert was also truly impressive. First of all, they have a hand made and non industrial offering. We ordered a well made tiramisu and a profiteroles. The profiteroles was absolutely stunning. Aside from being huge, it came with cream and hot chocolate. The spoons that you see in the image are table spoons, that gives you the idea of the size of this dessert. Despite that the whipped cream was very light and with no excess of sugar in it. Highly recommended restaurant."

"We tried this place for breakfast and had a really nice experience. We ordered an omelette which was very good, and bread with jam. The bread was on another level, absolutely delicious. We also had coffee and fresh orange juice, both great. The staff were friendly and the service was smooth and efficient. Would definitely recommend for a simple but high quality breakfast in Marseille!"

"Super nice espresso, coffee, croissant and bread chocolate. The espresso is my favourite. The aftertaste is lingering. The croissant and the bread chocolate are very soft. Their surface is crispy. As shown in the photos, their bread consist of multiple layer. This shows that their seriousness in preparation. Fantastic. The interior and the exterior areas of the cafe are spacious and clean. The attendants are friendly and diligent. A place tourists must visit"

"What a wonderful spot! We had a saumon tartare (asian style) and moules frittes. Both were generous, delicious dishes. The combination of french and asian elements of the food was very carefully and harmoniously curated. Really fair prices for the quality and ambiance. I highly recommend, I'd definitely come back!"

"Had a wonderful experience at Au Doyen. We were looking for a restaurant along the harbor that wasn't touristy and it wasn't looking promising until we came across this one. We sat inside and the servers and everyone were extremely friendly. They explained the menu and were always on the same page with bringing us what we needed. We got the mussels, whole fish, and calamari. Everything was delicious. The mussels came out piping hot and it was a huge portion. They also came out and de-boned the fish for us which was very considerate. It was very cool that they are connected to the souvenir shop next door and so we bought some stuff there and interacted with the owner, who is also very friendly. Dessert was also delicious and we overall had a great experience at a restaurant that had surprisingly good food in a touristy part of town. The outside covered patio was full of people so they were constantly running around attending to them but appreciated how they always made time to ensure we were taken care of and never had to wait."
